Whilst many homeowners rush to get their solar panel installation completed before the tariff cut deadline of next month, spare a thought for the many community based installations that will now be re-thought or dropped altogether.
Installations like the one Click Green reported on, where a Girl Guides’ campsite, which was to undergo a £13,000 solar panel installation, after the organisers had raised the thousands needed, looks in jeopardy, after they reveal there simply isn’t time to get the structural engineers report completed in time.
The camp site was hoping to use the tariff money to re-invest in the camping site at Benfleet, Essex, but the whole project now looks in doubt.
