Another airport installing renewables – this time it’s Birmingham

Regular readers of this renewable energy blog will be no strangers to renewables being installed at airports.

This time, it’s the turn of Birmingham airport to install 200 solar panels on the terminal roof.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the installation will generate 40,000kWh of electricity – enough to power 12 average sized homes – a year, and will save 22 tonnes of CO2 every year.

That should power a few luggage carousels!
